We had a busy day today. We started our day with the Canada Games Activity Challenge. We only have 2 more activities to complete before we are finished Module 2 of the Challenge. Keep your fingers crossed that we win a prize!

Next we moved on to our Multiplication and Division Unit Test. There were a number of students who did not complete their division homework this weekend. Please help your student to complete and return this homework promptly tomorrow. It was noted that students who didn't complete the homework were the ones that seemed the most nervous and unprepared for the test today.

Today we also had our Habit #4 Assembly. Habit #4 is "Think Win-Win." This means having an abundance mentality. What does that mean? It means remembering that there is more than enough for us both to get what we need and want. Often we can get caught up in our own struggles, concerns, etc. and begin looking out only for ourselves. When we think win-win, we help everyone to succeed and to get what they need. Check out the video below as an example:

Thank you to Teona and Aayan for sharing their award winning poems at today's assembly. Also, we should all congratulate Mohammad in Gr. 6 for winning the student vs. teacher bump tournament today.

Finally, we had a special guest join us today. We have been playing "Where is the Other Ms. B?" to help us to practice our researching skills. Today the clues lead us to your very own Christina Gordon School. The other Ms. B (Rebecca) was able to visit us today and answer student questions about her trip. Thank you everyone for giving her such a warm welcome.
