Please see the following email shared earlier this afternoon:

Good afternoon,

Just a few updates on events and activities taking place at school. First, tomorrow, February 19th, is the day that students and staff at Christina Gordon will be celebrating Pink Shirt Day, due to our Grades 4-6 ski day as well as the Teacher's Convention Break. This way all students and staff at CG are able to celebrate this important event together. Don't forget to wear pink! Students will also be participating in a variety of lessons on kindness throughout the day. We will be having our Pink Shirt Day assembly at 1:15 pm tomorrow afternoon, led by our student assembly leaders. Parents and families are welcome to attend. If you are planning to attend, make sure to sign in at the office when you enter the building.

Second, the next meeting for the Christina Gordon Public School Inclusion Advisory Committee will be this Wednesday, February 19th, at 7:30 pm. All are welcome to attend! Can't attend this week but are interested in learning more about this important committee? Contact Mrs. Power (karla.power@fmpsd.ab.ca) to learn more about how you can help make CG a great place to be and learn for everyone.

Third, this upcoming Friday will be another Fri-Yay Popcorn Day. Each bag of popcorn is $2. The funds from these popcorn fundraisers go towards important initiatives for our school community such as funding the buddy benches, purchasing literacy supplies, and much more. Thank you so much to our Fundraising Association for all of their hard work in planning and running these fundraisers for our school.

Finally, don't forget that our classroom Science Fair is soon approaching. Completing a Science Fair project is an optional opportunity for students in Grades 2 and 3. I recommend that students work on this project ahead of the due date. Our Classroom Science Fair will take place on March 3rd and 2-3 projects will be chosen to move forward to the School Science Fair on March 6th. Students have the choice to complete their projects on their own or with a partner. If working with a partner, please ensure that the students are able to meet outside of school. I cannot wait to see some of the projects that students have come up with. Thanks again everyone. As always, let me know if you have any questions or concerns,
