Students got their Whole Numbers unit test returned to them today. I've asked all students to go over this test with parents tonight and for these tests to be signed and returned to school. Quite a few students struggled with aspects of this test and I want to see or receive communication from parents/guardians indicating that they have reviewed the test with their student. Once the tests have been returned, I will be sending home practice/review pages with students who would like them. Students will then be able to take a retest if they wish. Parents who wish to start reviewing with their student before the practice/review sheets come home can find resources on the "Whole Numbers" page under "Math."

In Social Studies today, we had our group who has been researching and studying the Canadian Shield share their Train Tour project with us today:

Students have also created a Fact Sheet about their region for their classmates and wrote a quiz for their classmates to take on their presentation. It was fun letting the students lead the class discussion/lesson today and getting to watch them be the teachers and give a quiz. Get ready Great Lakes/St. Lawrence region; you're next!

Don't worry! Do your best while you are away. If you need some extra help or practice when you get back, we'll make sure that you get it. Like I said before, you'll be ahead of the class in some things, so we'll have time to catch you up.
