Today we continued to work on completing our Art Cards by Kids project. Our trees are looking fantastic! A little more time tomorrow and we should be all set. Tomorrow we are also going to go on a Gallery Walk to see what the other classes have been working on.

We had a special guest today in Physical Education - Ms. Marche! Ms. Marche teaches our ECDP Region program, but did you know that she is also a DancePL3Y instructor for ShineKids? Today she ran a really great workshop for us. It was fun to see everyone (me included) moving!

In Social Studies today, we have completed our review of the provinces, territories, and capitals. I will mark everyone's quizzes to return to them no later than Monday. We have added a page summarizing our learning to the Social section of our binder. This gave us the opportunity to discuss another really important map feature - legends! Of course, we are already becoming experts on creating legends thanks to our Math classes on bar graphs. Did you know that maps also use legends to help the reader to understand different symbols, colours, etc.? Next up, waterways! What important bodies of water will we be learning about?

In Health today, we continued to discuss feelings as part of Session #2 in our FRIENDS for Life program. Students practiced recognizing other humans and animals body language. We also shared a time when we felt happy, sad, excited, angry, etc. Finally, some charades! Students acted out a feeling. Using their body language, other students were able to guess what feeling they had been given. It was a lot of fun. We will continue to discuss feelings next week.
